The program in Counseling offered by the California State University Sacramento is a clinically focused three year full-time academic program that meets the educational requirements for becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of California.


The program in Counseling offered by the California State University Sacramento  is clinically oriented with didactic and experiential courses.

The MS Counseling program is evaluated by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and each of our concentration/specialization areas are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). 


The Counselor Education program and faculty are dedicated to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the needs and concerns of a diverse society.
