The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering is one of six departments within the College of Engineering, having a Fall 2014 enrollment of about 258 undergraduate students (up 7.5% from Fall 2013) and 249 ME & IE graduate students (up about 153% from Fall 2013).


The growing department maintains excellent teaching quality, promotes research and scholarly activities, and enhances learning and the learning environment. The department is located in the engineering complex of Dr. Frank H. Dotterweich College  of Engineering and is committed to provide excellent education to its students through high quality teaching, research and scholarly activities in an environment with state  of the art laboratories and computing facilities.
