Overview
Technology has become ubiquitous in our global, connected society. Globally distributed information processing services have taken centre stage, with the internet connecting a variety of information processing devices, ranging from embedded sensors to data centres operated by world-leading companies.
The Computer Science (Joint Degree UvA-VU) - Foundations of Computing and Concurrency track from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam focuses on the foundations of computer science and models of computation. Theoretical computer science studies how to formally describe and analyse various aspects of computation and computing systems.
