Overview
During the Psychology - Work and Organizational Psychology programme at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, you will address these types of questions under the guidance of teachers with expertise in the various domains of psychology. You will learn to approach complex problems from an academic perspective. You will also develop practical skills that you will apply in different contexts and with different target groups within your chosen track. There is a strong link with professional practice in the courses as well as in the master’s thesis and internship. In this way, you will be trained as a scientist-practitioner and you will be able to solve practical problems in a scientific way.
Start working
You can work in emergency services, hospitals, mental health institutions or nursing homes. But you can also end up in the business world as a human resources manager, for example, or as an organisational consultant.

General requirements
- Your previous education needs to be deemed equivalent to at least a Dutch academic Bachelor’s degree obtained at a research university (nominal duration 3 years).
- completed (or is currently completing) a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related programme such as Business Administration, Management and Organization studies, Communication and Information studies; Human resource management studies
- At least 24 ECTS of completed Psychology courses, consisting of:
- At least 18 ECTS in Quantitative methods courses
