The International Master of Business Administration International Master of Business Administration degree delivered at Polytechnic University of Cartagena, is available with an "optional" industry placement. In this case, UPCT will support students in finding and selecting the company. In general, internship is an optional extension of the iMBA degree, but not necessary for getting the Academic iMBA title.

The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.
The entry requirements for the iMBA are the same as for any postgraduate course at Technical University of Cartagena: eligible students should have a Bachelor Degree. For the iMBA in particular, students are expected to show good knowledge of business topics, including statistics, marketing, accounting and economics issues. Moreover, the students are required to show good command of English language, the official language of the program. Further, the students will enroll into Spanish language courses along the academic year of the program.
Students do not need an IELTS or TOEFL test.
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
