Through interdisciplinary training you learn various aspects of innovation and product management. Through theoretical and practical classes, you receive a comprehensive knowledge on how to develop, manage and market innovations and can complement it by two specializations: Product Concept Design and Development Process Engineering.
Innovation and product managers work at the interfaces between marketing, design and technology. Through our interdisciplinary training in all three disciplines we provide our students with methods and tools to initiate and manage strategically interesting product, service and process innovations. Furthermore, you learn how to successfully market these innovations in international markets, including market research, pricing policy, distribution, communication and branding. Our core study program is also supported by on- and off-site training in social skills such as leadership, intercultural communication, negotiation, and teamwork. The Innovation and Product Management programme is offered at University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
The job descriptions for innovation and product managers, product concept designers and process development engineers are interesting and complex and so are the careers of our graduates. Our alumni have successful careers in Austria and abroad in different areas: product management of industrial goods, innovation management, management assistance in small and medium-sized technology companies, project management, quality management, R&D management, technical support and sales, product design and many more.
