Mathematics at West Texas A&M University  is designed to prepare STEM professionals in industry and education for the opportunity that may be just around the corner, expanding your knowledge of mathematics and statistics and therefore changing the direction of your career.


This program is geared toward both full-time students and industry professionals interested in everything from transforming mathematics education across the region, state and nation to learning and developing new data-mining techniques to expand professional skills.

  • A 36-hour non-thesis option emphasizing Mathematics Education

General requirements

Strong applicants to the Master's of Science in Mathematics Program have achieved a bachelor's degree in mathematics or closely related field. Diverse educational and professional experiences are considered but levelling courses may be required. To enter graduate level mathematics course without levelling, successful completion of Calculus II is preferred.
