Overview

The Master of Arts in Fashion Design at the NABA Milan campus helps students develop a personal design vision and translate it into clothing collections. Taught in Italian or English, this two-year programme combines cultural research with practical experimentation, preparing students to manage creative processes from research to prototyping. All lecturers are industry professionals who guide students as they explore their own approach to fashion and express it through a personal portfolio. Workshops focused on innovation and sustainability add a practical dimension to this exploration, while cultural studies help students understand fashion as a visual language and make informed choices about their work. The programme brings experimental design approaches into dialogue with garment development. Key topics include:

Accreditation

NABA’s Master of Arts programmes award Second Level Academic Degrees recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). These qualifications have full legal status and are equivalent to the corresponding university degrees. The academic credits awarded can support progression to further study at academies and universities in Italy and abroad.
