Description

The Olaf W. Steg Memorial Endowment was established in 2022 by Kenneth (1971 CMU Alumnus) and Nancy (1972 CMU Alumnus) Raymond, both graduates of Central Michigan University (CMU).

Kenneth earned a Master of Business Administration and Nancy earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. In 1968, Kenneth was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam.

In 1970, Dr. Steg, who was Dean of Graduate Studies at CMU, provided Ken with an unconditional acceptance to the University allowing Ken an early exit from the Army.

Soon after, Ken learned that the troop he was in suffered great losses and to this day believes Dr. Steg saved his life.
