London Metropolitan University can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.
London Metropolitan University awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs.
Benefits
- £4,000 tuition fee discount (applied to one year of study).
- This scholarship can be combined with other awards, including the USA Elite Scholarship, allowing successful US applicants to achieve up to £9,500 total tuition fee reductions in the first year.
Eligibility
To be considered for the USA London Met International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship, you must:
- Be a US citizen and US resident.
- Be applying for a full-time master’s degree at London Metropolitan University's London campuses starting in January.
- Be considered an International-fee payer.
- Have graduated, or be expected to graduate, with a first-class (equivalent) bachelor’s degree by 30 November.
- Have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for January.
- Be able to demonstrate financial need in a written personal statement (part of the application form).
- Have an IELTS 7.5 (minimum) unless exempt under English language requirements (most US citizens are exempt).
- Be available to begin studies at London Metropolitan University in January – no deferral permitted.
- Be 18 or above on enrolment and meet UK immigration requirements.

- Complete the International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship application form and indicate your wish to be considered for this award.
- You must also declare if you would like to take up non-funded accommodation at International Student House (ISH). Please note: if you are awarded the scholarship and select this option, you will be required to sign a housing contract directly with ISH.
