Overview
The market for qualified commercial real estate professionals is on the rise globally. Today’s organisations within the sector seek postgraduates with industry-focused degrees and the relevant skills to match. On completion of this MSc, you’ll be in a fantastic position to hit the ground running in your career.
Through visiting national and international organisations operating within the industry, you’ll be encouraged to step out of your comfort zone. You’ll discover first-hand the types of opportunities, challenges and excitement a career within the sector has to offer as you flourish into a next generation science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professional.
Our School of the Built Environment is committed to developing you into a highly employable postgraduate. All of our built environment courses are strategically embedded with career development skills, setting you apart from the competition.
You’ll study the design, financing, planning, construction and operation of organisations, products, infrastructure, buildings and places in which human activity takes place. You’ll learn the skills to contribute to a more accessible, usable and sustainable environment.
We have strong links with employers active in all aspects of the built environment and have involved them in the production of our curriculum design, career education and guidance provision. Teaching will be carried out by a combination of expert academics and practitioners to ensure that you graduate with the necessary skills sought by employers. This course has also been designed in line with the University’s Education for Social Justice Framework, so you’ll contribute towards the need for a diverse, socially aware, technologically able, global community of real estate professionals.
Our location within London provides us with unparalleled exposure to some of the UK and world’s most influential real estate organisations, multidisciplinary consultancies and industry professional bodies, which we collaborate with.
Right here, on our doorstep, we have major urban redevelopment projects and landmark buildings. You’ll take part in various projects, site visits, and guest lectures. In fact, working on live industry projects will inform your course assessment.
In addition, you’ll engage with real estate professionals involved in developing property, maintaining the value of property and acquiring and disposing of property.
