Description

Established in 2016 in honour of Stephen Lawrence, the scholarship aims to improve access to professional careers for students facing social or economic disadvantage.

It supports first-year students enrolled on selected programmes and is intended to remove financial barriers to higher education. Three scholarships are awarded each year.

50% tuition fee reduction.

£3,500 cash bursary per academic year for the duration of the course.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be entering Year 1 (Level 4) of an eligible undergraduate programme.
  • Be from a disadvantaged background.
  • Have a household income below £25,000, as assessed by the relevant UK student finance authority.

Be studying one of the following courses:

  • Architecture BA (Hons)
  • Architectural Technology BSc (Hons)
  • Criminology BA (Hons)
  • Education Studies BA (Hons)
  • Health and Wellbeing in Society BA (Hons)
  • Journalism BA (Hons)
  • Law LLB (Hons)
  • Psychology BSc (Hons).
