VUM has been developing leaders since 1996. It was a groundbreaking project that started in 1992, supported by the Dutch Government.
Education
Students from over 70 countries receive excellent education in Business and Marketing, IT, Computer Sciences, Tourism and Hospitality Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.
Research
There are a number of research projects, developed by the academic staff at VUM, and the students are encouraged to actively participate in them. The Bulgarian University Ranking System gives high rating to VUM for its Students’ participation in scientific research in the fields of Tourism, Economics and Business Administration.

Good choice for a Bachelors degree
Good university with nice academic staff and very affordable. Very tolerant professors and well-maintained base and facilities. The subjects aren't studied very in-depth but it's good for a Bachelors degree if you want to orient yourself for your Masters. Very good overall

Student services
Important note to the students following a programme for a double degree: All subjects on the curriculum for the articulated years preceding the enrollment on the franchised year should be successfully passed. Students with outstanding modules as specified will not be enrolled at the Partner University.
Housing services
The student’s residence in Dobrich is located conveniently on walking distance from the teaching premises of VUM. For those who practice jogging, cycling or roller-skating the beautiful city park is nearby. The accommodation features large flats with both single and double rooms furnished suitably for students, as well as kitchens. There is a nice common area for socializing.
Besides the main residence in Dobrich, VUM offers alternative locations around the city of Dobrich – on the top floor of the teaching premises and in one of the wings of our Summer Theatre complex.
Library services
The free access to contemporary library and information resources is essential for the high quality education of our students, and the work of our faculty and staff.
Sports facilities
As the University is situated in one of the biggest cities in Bulgaria, the location gives the possibility to the students to practice a wide variety of sports. Most popular and attractive sports in city of Varna are tennis, football, beach volleyball, basketball, swimming, paragliding, ice skating, martial arts, body building, aerobics, kangoo jumping, yoga, cycling etc.
Accreditation
VUM is officially accredited by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education, see number 13 in the listings, as well as by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), established in 1984, (you can see the certificate here).
