The Department of Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion (SUMPPS) offers free services : nursing, medical, gynaecological and social services, nutrition and relaxation herapy, smoking cessation, counselling and first aid training. Each new student receives a medical exam. This check-up is mandatory in the first year. The calendars are updated often so you can schedule an appointment.
In Nantes, the University is organized into four major campuses along the Erdre River, crossing the city from north to south to the Ile de Nantes on the Loire River.
The campuses are located in wooded areas and most are well served by public transportation. In Saint-Nazaire, the western part of the campus overlooks the Loire estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, while the La Roche-sur-Yon campus is located in a landscaped park.
