A predecessor of the University of Nova Gorica was the Faculty of Environmental Sciences – the first international postgraduate school in Slovenia. The Faculty was founded on 24 September 1995 with an agreement from the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education of 12 July 1995. It began operating in the 1995/96 study year.
The University of Nova Gorica aims to be a research, internationally established university, which will be recognised as a driving force of social development in the region and in a wider context.
The university will endorse its motto Scientia vinces (“with knowledge to victory”) by providing a creative environment for researchers, professors and students, thereby enabling opportunities for top achievement results in the cutting-edge fields of science, technology and art.

I am so grateful for the day I discovered this school from the website, application guidelines and process down to the enrollment and commencement of study was seamless and easy. The staffs are friendly with an approachable attitude. I will always recommend University of Nova Gorica Slovenia for grarduate studies.
There are no bad professors. Everyone is at worst ok and at best amazing. Some classes are more interesting than others, but the professors do their best to make the lectures as engaging as possible. The degree offers a well rounded insight into English, meaning there are subjects dedicated to all the fields that English as a language interacts with, whether that is grammar and syntax, literature, history, communication (cross-cultural or not), etc.
Pretty good for the most part. Too early to tell how Master's differs from the Bachelor's degree, but on the whole, one can expect the teacher to be most helpful and the subjects to be mildy interesting.

Student Office of the University of Nova Gorica provides services to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as prospective students wishing to study at our univeristy.
The Student Office issues enrolment certificates, academic record and examination grades transcripts. We follow those who graduate into their first jobs by helping them, advising them, and mediating with new employees. Because of this we collaborate with many companies and individuals.

University library of University of Nova Gorica is open to all students and staff, as well as to all other visitors who are interested in the materials offered by the library. We are collecting materials mostly for the fields of ecology, physics, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, biology, Slovene studies, humanities, viticulture and fine arts.
At Health Centre Nova Gorica no special service for students is organised. Student can choose a personal doctor at one of three school dispensaries or at one of several general dispensaries in Nova Gorica. Personal doctor can be choosen also only for the duration of studies.
At the health centre there is a dispensary for women.
The Town Council of the Municipality of Nova Gorica adopted a decision in May 2009, with which it allocated a lot for the needs of constructing a campus of the University of Nova Gorica. In the autumn of 2009, we have signed a letter of intent with the Municipality of Nova Gorica for the construction of a 16-hectare university campus, along the Korn stream in Nova Gorica.
The lot is located at the south edge of town, in a territory enclosed by the stream Korn and the path Streliška pot. The campus will hold all the necessary research and pedagogical infrastructure, student residence, and the accompanying activities of the University of Nova Gorica.
