Housing services

HECTOR School students are entitled to special accommodation rates in one of the International Department’s campus dormitories. Besides high standard rooms and apartments, the HECTOR School campus offers a comprehensively equipped residential environment, hence providing a comfortable living and perfect working atmosphere.

Library services

The KIT library supports students and scientists with over two million books and 28,000 magazines. Focus areas are natural sciences, engineering, and economic sciences. The latest literature is freely accessible. The library offers several services via the internet, including online catalogs, subject-specific databases, electronic full texts, multimedia, and document delivery services.

ICT services

WLAN-access is also available for students of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) or guests. All seminar rooms can be booked by interested parties.

Student Life

Campus life

The campus of the International Department - home of the HECTOR School - is located right next to the historic castle of Karlsruhe, only a few steps away from the main shopping street, yet in a very calm area.

Sports facilities

The KIT offers students a wide range of sports programs, groups, and activities. You can join the fitness club, use the indoor swimming pool, or the tennis courts. There are also numerous groups and courses for different sports activities: from acrobatics over various ball sports to yoga.


The KIT is system-accredited by AAQ. All HECTOR School master programs are accredited by the internal quality assurance system of the KIT.
