History
UNIC Athens has officially begun its operations in November 2025, currently offering nine (9) accredited undergraduate programmes, spanning from 6 schools. Additionally, it aims to having two (2) postgraduate programmes (MBA and PhD in Medical Sciences) accredited with a target launch within 2026.
Over time, UNIC will introduce at UNIC Athens a comprehensive set of academic programmes at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.

UNIC strives to cultivate an academically stimulating environment that is student-centred and promotes active self-learning, imparting lifelong learning skills and competences to its students through smaller than average class sizes, a wide range of laboratories and innovative teaching methods.

UNIC Athens offers career development services to students and graduates through its Career Success Centre (CSC). These services are designed to prepare students and graduates for the workforce by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to succeed professionally.

- The Orientation Programme is designed to help you settle in, make friends, and feel at home from the very first day. You will get to know the university and its services, meet the key people who will support you throughout your studies, and start building friendships that will last beyond university life.
- Each student is assigned a Personal Tutor (PT) for the duration of their programme. The PT has been trained to provide support and monitor the student’s academic progress, advising them in case of problems affecting their studies. Students are encouraged to meet their PT from the beginning of the programme and discuss any academic or personal issues that may affect their performance.
Housing services
The University of Nicosia’s official student residences redefine modern student living. They consist of three separate complexes – SIX, U and TRIANGLE – which are among the most stunning student accommodations ever constructed in Europe.
UNIC Residences provide a multitude of dining, relaxing and entertainment options for residents, including restaurants and cafes, gyms, TV rooms, games areas and more. Located in Engomi, in Nicosia, the residences are surrounded by UNIC’s vibrant, urban campus.
Library services
At the centre of academic life stands our Library and Information Centre, occupying 410 square metres. This modern facility offers individual study areas, group collaboration rooms, and comprehensive digital resources. The space serves as both a traditional library and a contemporary learning hub, supporting various study styles and research needs.
ICT services
The University utilises advanced technological infrastructure to enhance both the learning process and administrative functions. The Information Technology Services team provides comprehensive support to students and staff, covering hardware, software, and cloud applications
Medical services
UNIC Athens Medical School has formed an exclusive partnership with the Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG), Greece's largest private healthcare group, to provide students with access to the country's most extensive private healthcare network for clinical education. This collaboration ensures medical students receive clinical training within Greece's premier healthcare facilities.
Campus life
The UNIC Athens Campus is being developed in three phases, beginning in Fall 2025 with a 12,500-square-metre facility adjacent to The Ellinikon development and later expanding into project itself. The initial campus features comprehensive teaching and research facilities, including 43 specialised laboratories, two amphitheatres with 335-seat capacity, and dedicated clinical skills facilities with 19 OSCE examination rooms, supporting medical simulation and interdisciplinary research.
Sports facilities
At UNIC Athens, sports and recreation are at the heart of our commitment to a balanced and active student life. The University collaborates closely with the Sports Department of Elliniko Municipality, which operates under the philosophy of “Sports & Quality for All,” providing access to exceptional sports programmes and facilities.

At UNIC Athens, your university experience goes far beyond the classroom. Situated in the energetic area of Ellinikon, right next to the trendy coastal neighborhood of Glyfada, the campus sits at the heart of a rapidly evolving part of Athens that offers endless opportunities for students to enjoy.
Accreditation
UNIC has received official accreditation from the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) for nine undergraduate degree programmes.
