History
Launched in 2011, UGS works in partnership with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) to deliver undergraduate programmes. From September 2019 our whole portfolio of undergraduate programmes will lead to degrees that are jointly awarded by the University of Glasgow and SIT.
Education
In partnership with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), the University of Glasgow provides an exciting portfolio of BEng and BSc Honours degree programmes delivered in-country to graduates with good grades in an appropriate diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore, or equivalent.

- Computing Science
- Mechanical Engineering
- Nursing
Research
Research is a key focus at UGS. Our research expertise cuts across a wide spectrum of areas within the core disciplines of Mechatronics, Aerospace Systems and Computing Science, where we currently deliver degree programmes in Singapore.
We are also active in cross-disciplinary collaborations and works closely with Singapore-based companies to contribute to their technology roadmap through industry relevant, world-class research.

We offer a variety of initiatives, programmes, and resources that enable students to develop key life skills, as well as comprehensive support services that empower students to create and experience a rewarding university journey
Library services
The Ngee Ann Kongsi Library is central to learning and is located at the Campus Heart, W1, Level 5. As an e-preferred library, 99% of the resources are available online anytime and anywhere. Explore SIT's subscribed resources via the OneSearch portal or use the self-help Subject Guides that are specially tailored to help students develop information literacy skills.
ICT services
For Punggol Campus, a student printing service is available in the E6 L5 common area (near the bridge connecting to E1) for photocopying, printing and scanning documents.
Medical services
Embark on a journey of self-discovery, enhance your well-being, and equip yourself with invaluable coping strategies to navigate the complexities of university life. Students can speak with our professional counsellors who are dedicated to supporting your mental health, and are available both on campus and through online channels.
Campus life
We are accessible to the public via the Punggol Coast MRT station and will have facilities for everyone to enjoy.
The public can explore the campus on foot or cycle down the main Campus Boulevard — an 800m-long walkway connecting the whole district. There is also the 1.3km green Heritage Trail, a forest conservation project along the old Punggol Road that now links Punggol Waterway Park to Punggol Promenade park connector.
Other facilities include dining and shopping options at the Market Village by the waterfront.
Sports facilities
Vibe with peers, dance and play in our studios or club rooms available for booking. Our gyms cater to different kinds of exercises from strength training to calisthenics movement.
The available sporting facilities include:
SIT Campus Court: Multipurpose halls (drawn courts include basketball, badminton, volleyball, netball, tchoukball and floorball), tennis courts, bouldering wall, dance studios, martial arts hall and fitness gym.
Student clubs
The Office of SITizen Experience is committed to shaping students into competent, compassionate changemakers and leaders who embodies the SITizen-DNA. We offer diverse platforms such as leadership development, varsity sports, performing arts, special interests initiatives and wellness programmes. With over 170 student organisations spanning various interests, we cultivate a vibrant, safe, and inclusive campus community.
