History
In 2019, BAU started to offer new graduate degree programs, Big Data Analytics and Cyber Security. When BAU was founded in 2014, it was established under the original name BAU International University. BAU operated under this name until it was officially changed in January of 2019 to Bay Atlantic University.
Education
We are a member institution of BAU Global, a global network of higher education institutions. BAU Global universities are located in Berlin (Germany), Nicosia (Cyprus), Batumi (Georgia), Istanbul (Turkey), Puebla (Mexico), Kyiv (Ukraine), Hanoi (Vietnam), and Hoi Chi Minh City (Vietnam). There are also academic centers in Rome (Italy), Cologne (Germany), Hong Kong (China), Toronto (Canada), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Silicon Valley (U.S.A.). Being a part of this global network of higher education institutions offers our students the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or two at any of these locations.
Research
At Bay Atlantic University, we are dedicated to disciplined, critical inquiry. As scholar-practitioners, our professors make research contributions in several branches of knowledge. BAU encourages and supports these contributions, promoting the expression of divergent views and the positing of innovative solutions to the world’s social and environmental challenges.

Thanksgiving to the family
I got a good displine in the campus and learning from my elders facilitators. It's been a huge experience as a refugee living in the global plurality with different cultures and different backgrounds. I am always striving to find out what is like to be for peace coexistence between the campus.

Housing services
- The affiliated dormitory, Island Condos, is located in a very vibrant and upcoming district. There are many shopping areas, restaurants, quick dining spots, and coffee houses-all within walking distance.
- Bookstores, art galleries, and pop-up stores are spread throughout the neighborhood, which tenants can explore. The neighborhood is surrounded by public basketball and tennis courts, skate parks, and open parks.
Library services
The BAU Library consists of a small physical library and a large online collection. Keeping in mind that the Washington, D.C. metro area is an information-rich and library-rich environment, BAU maintains its physical collection to assist students in “discovering” material that faculty members themselves use in their areas of expertise.
Medical services
BAU wants students to stay healthy and happy throughout their time with us and beyond. To this end, we offer students both health and wellness and counseling services. It is important for everyone to be proactive about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, for the sake of achieving both short- and long-term successes.
Campus life
BAU is located right at the political and cultural center of the nation’s capital, just two blocks from the White House. BAU is also home to the Global Policy Institute, GPI, a highly regarded think tank whose research focuses on energy issues, education, economics, global affairs, and international security.
