My time as a student at imperial

Imperial
I am still at the start of it I cannot comment on my studies yet.
A Transformative University Experience.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology, during which I developed a solid foundation in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, and laboratory-based research techniques. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I demonstrated strong academic performance and a growing interest in molecular genetics and its applications in medicine and public health. My undergraduate training exposed me to both theoretical and practical aspects of biotechnology, including DNA extraction, PCR, Gel electrophoresis, microbial identification, and molecular analysis. These experiences laid the groundwork for my interest in molecular medicine or molecular basis of human disease. My undergraduate research project focused on the “Detection of Chloramphenicol, Tetracycline, Sulfonamide and Beta-lactams Resistance Genes in Salmonella species Isolated from Ngadda River within Maiduguri Metropolitan” This project involved molecular identification techniques, including 16S rRNA-based analysis, and strengthened my understanding of gene-level mechanisms that influence disease progression and treatment outcomes. Through this research, I gained hands-on experience in experimental design, laboratory troubleshooting, data interpretation, and scientific reporting. The project also heightened my awareness of the global health threat posed by antimicrobial resistance and the need for genomic tools to guide targeted and effective treatment strategies In addition to my research project, I delivered a seminar titled “Forensic Applications of Mitochondrial DNA and Y-Chromosome Analysis.” This seminar explored the principles of human inheritance, mitochondrial DNA analysis, Y-chromosome markers, and their applications in forensic identification, population genetics, and medical investigations.
