Georgia Tech-Lorraine was established as Georgia Institute of Technology’s first international campus in 1990 in Metz, France. Over the years, Georgia Tech-Lorraine has developed a rich network of collaborations with academic, research, and industrial partners, and it continues to grow a mutually beneficial relationship with local and regional government. 


A highly innovative institution offering year-round undergraduate, masters and PhD programs in the areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. 


A unique international research unit has been established between the Georgia Institute of Technology and the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in the domains of telecommunications and innovative materials. The result of a strategic alliance  is the UMI-2958 GT-CNRS,  a joint research laboratory based on the campus of Georgia Tech Lorraine.


Georgia Tech-Lorraine, in collaboration with its corporate partners, posts internships and job opportunities to students and alumni. Being exposed to the corporate world and developing the capacity to work effectively in a global market will be an asset when entering the job market.

Housing services

All student housing accommodations are within walking distance of the Georgia Tech-Lorraine building. Graduate and PhD students are housed in the ALOES dorm.

Student Life

Campus life

The Georgia Tech-Lorraine campus building is accessible with an electronic key fob that is provided to each student upon arrival. Each student is required to leave a refundable deposit of €20, and the only form of payment accepted is cash (Euros only; no dollars).
