History
After an intense round of discussion in the university committees in 2012, involving all the various status groups, the original mission statement of the university, coined at its founding in 2007, was subjected to a rework. The new version was then adopted by the Academic Senate, with confirmation from the curatorium.
Education
In its course program, the bbw University of Applied Sciences brings together scientific teaching, applied research and a close relationship to actual practice. Through its close links with business, an especially strong connection between academic requirements and practical focus is both aimed at and made possible. This relates to both the structure of the degree courses and the design in terms of content and methods used for the courses and teaching, and also to our practice-based research.
Research
The fib Research Institute of the bbw University of Applied Sciences serves application-oriented research, research teaching and learning as well as knowledge and technology transfer. As a research institute of the bbw University of economy for the economy, fib offers a wide range of research expertise and capacities to small and medium-sized companies in the Berlin-Brandenburg region in particular. Remote campus, practical projects
The campus is great, but the location is just too far. It would be better if the campus offered more online classes. However, overall, it's comfortable and good. I can gain more practical experience because the professors always try to apply our studies to real-life projects with companies.
