Dell’Arte International was founded by Carlo Mazzone-Clementi and Jane Hill in Berkeley in 1971 to bring the European physical training tradition to the United States and to develop actor-creators through training in mime, mask, movement and ensemble creation.
The Dell’Arte Company is known internationally for its dazzling level of performing artistry and unique sense of theatricality. DAC is also acclaimed for its teaching residencies in physical performance styles, having developed a dynamic contemporary acting approach in which body, voice, and point of view celebrate the work of the actor/creator.
While Dell’Arte is an internationally recognized institution that has presented great theatre in Blue Lake and around the world since 1977, we’ve also been offering arts and community service to our regional communities from Garberville to Forks of Salmon, Petrolia to Cave Junction. We’d love to introduce you to all the work we do offstage and on, throughout our region.
