History
In a time of cultural unsettlement, Palm Beach Atlantic University was founded in 1968 as a coeducational Christian liberal arts university. The first classes at Palm Beach Atlantic University, formerly Palm Beach Atlantic College named for its location in the Palm Beaches, were held in the fall of 1968 in downtown West Palm Beach in the former facilities of the First Baptist Church.

Prepares for life professionally and personally!
The MA in Philosophy of Religion at Palm Beach Atlantic University has prepared me for life both in academia (to be a future PhD student and professor) and in life. The professors really care about helping their students succeed. The program has curated the perfect space for community engagement, learning, and critical thinking. There is even time set aside each week for graduate students and professors to meet together and discuss philosophy outside of the classroom. This is a safe place to voice questions and share ideas. Throughout the semester, they also bring in philosophers form other schools to present talks and papers. This is also a great way for us to network with others as we prepare to apply for PhD programs. Additionally almost everyone in the program on campus are able to work as student assistants to the professors. This has given me the opportunity to better understand what it means to do research, write books and articles, and teach at the university level. Being here has made me more confident in my abilities as an academic and has given me confidence to share my ideas with others both in the academy and with the public.
Room for Growth
Attending Pan Atlantic University has been a real eye-opener, offering a glimpse into the real world. I appreciate the freedom of dressing within the guidelines of the dress code. The university boasts well-managed facilities, which are regularly cleaned, making for a pleasant learning environment. The compact campus is easy to navigate, and the small classrooms foster a sense of connection with lecturers. However, the university's growing population is outpacing its facilities, leading to challenges during break times, such as accessing meals or computer labs. I've noticed that the dress code enforcement can be biased, particularly against students with larger body types, causing insecurity and discomfort. On a positive note, the university has recently introduced student social events, which is a great step. Nevertheless, balancing these events with assignments and deadlines can be daunting for some students. Overall, my experience at Pan Atlantic University has been a mixed bag while there are areas for improvement, I appreciate the university's efforts to provide a supportive learning environment.
