The surveyor’s experience came some 20 years after the Rev. John G. Fee started a one-room school in 1855 that eventually would become Berea College. Fee, a native of Bracken County, Ky., was a scholar of strong moral character, dedication, determination and great faith. He believed in a school that would be an advocate of equality and excellence in education for men and women of all races.
Berea’s educational experience provides students the knowledge and skills to successfully navigate the world. Berea provides a stimulating and challenging environment. Review of the University of Buea My time at the University of Buea was both challenging and transformative. The academic program was intense, often leaving little room for balancing coursework with economic activities. The socio-political crisis significantly disrupted studies, making the learning environment unpredictable. Additionally, I faced difficulties with a lecturer who penalized me for expressing differing views in class. Despite these challenges, the university provided a rigorous education that shaped my resilience and critical thinking. It�s an institution that pushes students to adapt and grow, even in difficult circumstances.

Information Systems and Services (IS&S) is the collective name of Berea College’s Information Technology department.
Berea College Counseling Services attempts to meet the personal and developmental needs of individual students. Licensed professional counselors assist students with difficulties in an unbiased and objective way.
The City of Berea (population 15,000) is 35 miles south of Lexington, where Kentucky’s Bluegrass region meets the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. Kentucky’s legislature designated Berea the “Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky.” The College is located near the center of town and is easily accessible by car from I-75. Driving time from Louisville, Kentucky; Knoxville, Tennessee; or Cincinnati, Ohio is about two hours. Commercial airline service is available in Lexington.
