History
Founded in 1867 and located in Atlanta, Georgia, Morehouse is an academic community dedicated to teaching, scholarship, and service, and the continuing search for truth as a liberating force. As such, the College offers instructional programs in three divisions – business and economics, humanities and social sciences, and science and mathematics–– as well as extracurricular activities.
Education
A private historically black liberal arts college for men, Morehouse realizes this mission by emphasizing the intellectual and character development of its students. In addition, the College assumes special responsibility for teaching the history and culture of black people.

Student services
The mission of the Office of International Student Services is to coordinate and administer programs and activities that foster supportive and positive learning environments and to enhance global understanding for students enrolled at the College.
Housing services
Our First-Year Residential Experience aims to ground our students in the tools necessary to not only survive but to thrive at Morehouse. Each of our first-year houses has active opportunities for student leadership, a team of Resident Advisors, and a Residential Academic Mentor. The academic mentor provides students with academic coaching and other forms of academic support such as tutoring and study skill acquisition. Every first-year house offers an intimate sense of community.
Library services
The Robert W. Woodruff Library is a shared library and study center for all 8.300 students in the Atlanta University Center. It is a short walk from the center of the Morehouse campus. It contains everything AUC students need for academic successs. It offers thousands of print and electronic resources, as well as a places to study, meet, and present.

Campus life
From motivated, inspired students hurrying to class or taking a moment to relax on the "Yard"; to jazz, spoken word, and energetic debate wafting on Brown Street; to the prodigious words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. '48 etched on the base of a statue of this nation's greatest civic transformer; life on the Morehouse College campus is full of sight, sound, and wonder.
Sports facilities
Athletics are an essential part of the overall educational experience at Morehouse College. The College provides a comprehensive and diverse athletics program, offering opportunities to all interested students.
Student clubs
The Student Government Association (SGA) offers students an opportunity to develop sound judgment, maturity, and leadership skills by taking an active role in issues that govern student life at Morehouse.
Morehouse College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees.
