History
Whittier College grew from the academy and was chartered by the State of California in 1901 with a student body of 25.
Both the town and the College were named in honor of John Greenleaf Whittier, prominent Quaker, poet, and leader in the abolitionist movement.
Education

My university was a very conducive environment with vibrant lecturers, in urban and regional planning we do go out for field trip take our measurements and come to the studio for final design The excursion to the tourist center in Department of urban regional planning within the esteemed University of Cross River State calabar Nigeria.The primary goal of this trip was to fulfill course requirements related to review and criticism, offering students a unique opportunity to explore the world of studio work like, neighborhood design, commercial design, regional design and master plan of Calabar municipality The outing was a resounding success, with participants gaining valuable insights and knowledge during the visit. The excursion provided students with a glimpse into the convergence of urban and regional planning we.
Aspiration for advances of different industries
I can identify the attention that Whittier College community deliver for our inter exploration, to efficient application of study which means to make a person and professional of the future, prepared to be an explorer but effective on the area of study, on curriculum of profession and leader of a social issue, the decisive factor which inspire me to be a poet. There I believe that I can be preparing myself, to work in renowned corporations to think and produce potent application of technologies for human development. The practical experience with the tech applications, will help me also to be in contact with centers of technology for human development, as I have in plans, I intend to be exploring and develop a tech network for enhancement and growth of thinking efficiency for human capability of work. Such intended technology will to diverse professionals for their better automation toward their complex system of work, serving also as training for groups of people to achieve better results in their works.

First built in 1963 and expanded, modernized, and rededicated in 2003, the Bonnie Bell Wardman Library offers Whittier College students, staff, and faculty spaces and tools for many different kinds of research and learning activities.
Medical services
Located near the Campus Safety office, the Student Health & Wellness Center provides primary health care services and health and wellness resources to all Whittier College. It also offers holistic services at affordable prices and free nutrition counseling.
Campus life
Our residential nature is a key component in defining who we are, as students and professors live and learn in close proximity to one another, fostering an atmosphere where knowledge can be pursued 24/7. Sports facilities
The Whittier College Poets compete in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) of NCAA Division III. The school has fielded sports teams for over 100 years. Its current teams include football, men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, lacrosse and water polo; women’s softball and volleyball; and men’s baseball and golf.
Student clubs
During the school year, Whittier College has more than 80 active clubs and 10 societies - our own version of fraternities/sororities. Combined, these groups offer activities encompassing a wide variety of interests.
Accreditation
Institutional Accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) assures the college community, general public, and local organizations that Whittier College is in compliance with federal standards. WASC is one of six official academic bodies in the United States that is charged with the accreditation of Whittier College.
