Saint John's University was founded by the monks of Saint John's Abbey. In addition to its undergraduate offerings, SJU includes Saint John's School of Theology and Seminary (SOT), a graduate school that confers Master of Divinity and master of arts degrees and also prepares seminarians for the priesthood.
The Career Services office sponsors numerous programs, workshops and other services to help students — from their first year to their senior year — as they choose a major, explore careers, gain related experiences and plan for life after graduation.

Every residence hall has a computer cluster with access to the same applications as those in classrooms, labs and access areas. Computer access areas are available for student use seven days a week, with modern PCs and laser printers. Wireless access is available in all academic buildings including both libraries, most campus outdoor green spaces and all of the residence halls and apartments.

Residential living is an integral part of the Saint John's educational experience and provides students a better understanding of themselves as young men through their involvement in and strong commitment to community.
Each campus has a fitness center so you can work out when it's most convenient, as well as a pool, tennis courts and track. Personal trainers are available to create free individualized training programs. We also offer a full schedule of fitness classes, from yoga to Pilates and cardio kickboxing.
Student Activities and Leadership Development (SALD) creates and sustains a vibrant campus life through social programming and leadership development. SALD oversees club processes, advises the Joint Events Council, and coordinates the Orientation program.
