Housing services
Mid Sweden University does not provide student accommodation. However, we cooperate closely with student housing companies in each campus city and recommends different housing companies in Sundsvall and Östersund. The choice of housing varies from campus to campus, but all types of student accommodation in Sweden are generally of a high standard.
The housing companies offer a wide range of accommodation such as:
- student residence hall (dormitory rooms)
- student residence hall (student flats with single or double rooms)
- single apartments
- shared apartments
- cottage apartments
Library services
The assignment of the University Library is to provide extensive educational support for the teachers and students. This support entails making literature accessible, providing information literacy support and acting as an educational and didactic support for the teachers as well as offering the students an inspiring study environment.
Medical services
The Student Health Centre provides preventive health care for students at Mid Sweden University and is a complement to the public health care system. If you are sick and need to see a doctor you should contact the Public Health Centre.
Campus life
Geographically, Mid Sweden University is located in the middle of Sweden, right at the heart of Northern Europe. Mid Sweden University has two campuses: Sundsvall and Östersund. They differ in character and partially in the course programmes offered.

Sports facilities
Essentially, most exercise and fitness activities are considered tax-free employee welfare benefits if they are of a simple nature and of a low cost value. In order for a benefit that consists of only a single treatment or activity to be considered simple in nature and of low value, the cost may not exceed 1,000 SEK per occasion or activity.
Student clubs
At Mid Sweden University there are student unions looking after your interests concerning your education and questions related to the social aspects of student life.
The student union endeavours to see to it that you get as good an education as possible, and that your days of study are as good as they can be. This organisation is an organisation of students for students.
