Gettysburg College
Gettysburg was an amazing college experience for me. I was looking for a small school that still had a fun party scene, and Gettysburg is exactly that. It's small enough that it's impossible not to make friends, and the school does a great job of hosting class-wide events for freshman students to meet each other. It's also really easy to get involved. I volunteered, was a member of several clubs, and was part of Greek life. I love that Gettysburg had all the "fun" parts that are associated with big schools, such as a really lively nightlife and social scene, well-attended sporting events, a variety of different clubs and organizations, and Greek life, but also had the academics of a selective, small liberal arts college.
Housing services
Residence hall living is a vital component of Gettysburg College's educational experience. The residential life program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn about themselves, others, and how to be engaged citizens on campus.
First-year students work closely with professional and student staff to develop vibrant communities and to capitalize on the “teachable moments” that emerge through the residential experience. The First-Year Community Learning Plan is intended to prepare students to be active leaders who take purposeful action in service of the community.
