History
In 1835, Col. William B. Travis penned a letter to the “New York Christian Advocate” calling for the establishment of a Methodist presence in the new Republic of Texas. Five years later, the first of Southwestern’s four root colleges was born from the vision of Methodist missionary, Martin Ruter.
Education
Southwestern professors balance the highest level of scholarship with a serious dedication to teaching and collaboration with students. Our 26 academic departments offer 40 majors and 36 minors that prepare students for success in any field of professional (or personal) endeavor.
Career
You probably know that there is not a direct connection between your particular course of study and a specific occupation, unless you major in accounting or education - the only two professional-preparation majors at Southwestern. For those fields, you actually take tests at the end of your studies to achieve certification that makes you eligible for a specific job. For all other majors, you have the freedom to craft your own career path, and out-of-class activities like volunteerism, leadership, internships and research/creative works help you develop and “prove” the skills necessary to be marketable for employment upon graduation.

Application for Graduate Project Engineer
my study experience was inspiring and foundational. It not only strengthened my technical expertise but also ignited my interest in the management side of engineering. This is why I am now pursuing a Master’s in Engineering Management—to build on my engineering knowledge while acquiring leadership, strategy, and organizational skills that will help me lead projects effectively and contribute to innovation within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
school's right standard
My opinion about the university is it is a good university and I'm glad that I was able to go there. There are also a lot of good reviews this school has so I definitely recommend it to students. And from that, I don't have any bad reviews about this school since I have observed that this school is a right standard.
Not so good but would be
The school is quite challenging and your work has to be fast and confident at the same time. There are times I thought of giving up but I cannot.
