Master's Programmes

SUNY Maritime College has two graduate programs and several certificate options. A relatively small graduate student population ensures that students can pursue studies of interest to them and get personalized attention and advice from faculty. Both programs position graduates well to advance in their careers and become leaders in their fields.

SUNY Maritime emphasizes combining classroom learning with real world experience through internships and research, to ensure students get the best of both worlds. A small graduate program means students get to know their faculty and get the time and attention they need to develop necessary skills to become dynamic leaders in the transportation, logistics, naval history, law and maritime industries, among many others.

Student services

International Student Services is where you can go for help adjusting to life in the United States, including dealing with immigration, banking and health insurance.

Every student has a faculty advisor, who helps them select and register for courses each semester. Advisors can help students develop good study habits, time management skills and other academic issues.

Student Life

Campus life

Our 55-acre campus has a variety of fields and scenic spots where students can hang out, run on our waterfront track, play sports, and participate in campus events. Our four residence halls are close to the Mess Deck cafeteria, the Bottom Line cafe and the academic buildings, so it’s easy to get where you need to go. Approximately 80 percent of all students live on campus and take advantage of Maritime’s amenities

Student clubs

Outside of the classroom, you may choose to join any of more than 40 clubs, or to start one of your own. The campus hosts several events every year, from art shows to fashion shows, sailing regattas to carnivals. Many students also choose to play on varsity or intramural athletic teams.

Whatever your interests, you’ll find others to share them with.
