Besides Budapest and Nagykőrös where the two main campuses are located, Károli Gáspár University provides courses in neighbouring countries: in Targu Mures/Marosvásárhely and Ilieni/Ilyefalva (both in Romania), as well as in Berehove/Beregszász (Ukraine) and in Levice/Léva (Slovakia) in cooperation with local higher education institutions.
The students of the University can take part in a wide range of amateur sport teams in futsal, basketball, handball, volleyball or water polo. These teams play in amateur championships organised among other universities and colleges. The opportunity to join is open for everyone, even for absolute beginners. Apart from sport activities students have the opportunity to learn traditional Hungarian folk dance as well.
The Student Union organises and offers a wide range of cultural and professional programmes for the students. The Student Union encourages everyone to meet their professors and school mates outside the university as well, to make new friendships and establish new contacts.
I really liked the fact that the teaching was done in small groups and that most of the time you had to work in groups. Also, we did an internship every semester, which had a different topic and methodology every semester. The epidemic situation made the teachers' work extremely difficult, but I think they did very well.
The quality of education is great, the student get high level knowledge. The teachers are also helpful and the milieu of the university is also great. I'm pleased to learn there. They help me to improve not only my studies or the methods of learning, but some teachers can help me to improve mentally as well.
