History
The University of Dubai (UD) is a fully owned subsidiary of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). The DCCI has continuously supported the UD in every stage of its development as well as its international academic accreditation.
Education
The University of Dubai offers an extraordinary variety of business, law, engineering and IT programs. At the University of Dubai, we are committed to developing and educating leaders who will make a difference in the business world. The achievements of our alumni in different organizations and ranks of leadership are a reflection of this commitment. Central to our success is an outstanding faculty that instills a thorough understanding of business through its skilled, enthusiastic teaching, research and service.
Research
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Free Zone (EIFZ), established under the University of Dubai's umbrella, is a research and consultancy platform operating in tandem with San Diego State University's Center for Information Convergence & Strategy (CICS). EIFZ offers a platform for students, alumni, and faculty to network, collaborate, & develop their ideas and support entrepreneurs through various stages of the entrepreneurial and innovation process.
Our Vision is "to become the global leader in entrepreneurship and innovation while nurturing young minds though academia and practice to become domain pioneers".
Career
Conducted every Fall and Spring Semester, workshops are facilitated by ICDC career counselors, alumni and professionals from various business sectors on career–related topics to enhance skills and prepare students in their career progression.

QS World University Rankings is one of the top international rankings measuring the popularity and performance of universities all over the world. They measure university reputation based on the impressions of higher education experts, companies who hire graduates, and teaching quality. QS also considers the ratio of international teachers and students present at universities, as well as the times research papers were mentioned by researchers. After calculating and comparing these criteria, QS ranks the universities accordingly.
Student services
The Department of Student Services (DSS) at the University of Dubai provides a variety of quality programs and activities designed to foster student development, promote retention and enhance the overall university experience.

- Operate facilities that distinguish Student Services at UD as an enjoyable and welcoming environment for a culturally diverse student population.
Housing services
The University of Dubai signed in 2017 an MoU with DSOA University Residence in order to provide students best accommodation with a safe and secure environment. DSOA university Residence, a newly established property, is considered one of the finest accommodation places for students studying in Academic City where University of Dubai is located. Library services
Making knowledge and information accessible to faculty, students, staff, alumni and researchers in addition to providing high-quality services are the top priorities of the library. Alumni are also welcome to visit the library. The library provides in-depth resources for research and study.
Campus life
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, granted UD in June 2006 a three (3) million square feet plot of land in the Academic City to build its new campus. The Ruler also chose the design for the new campus (through international competition). DCCI granted 200 million dirhams (around US$ 54 million) to construct the new campus. The new campus is about 20 kilometers from the current UD’s location. The operations from old campus at Maktoum Street and DCCI were shifted to the new campus in Academic City.
Sports facilities
The Intramural sports schedule includes, but is not limited to football, basketball, bowling, billiards and foosball tournaments. UD sports clubs compete against higher education institutions as part of the higher education sports federation, which consists of colleges and universities in Dubai and around the UAE.

Accreditation
The University of Dubai is one of the top accredited universities in the UAE – professional and bold, with community, innovation and diversity permeating all its activities. University of Dubai degree programs have been accredited by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in the UAE as well as by the best international accreditation bodies in the world: AACSB International, USA, for the College of Business Administration and ABET for the Computing and Information Systems program.
