Modern authenticity
It focuses on creativity and living up to your potential, which is very refreshing because it encourages you to explore your authenticity. However, i believe that it needs to find a balance and implement more traditional or basic academic aspects.
Student services
The Colby College Student Government Association (SGA) serves the student body by enhancing the student experience through programming and policy. The Association fosters a campus environment built on integrity, respect, and community. It promotes a culture of consent, serves as a resource for students to achieve their academic, extracurricular, and personal goals; and provides transparency with Colby’s Administration. SGA also provides opportunities for students to become productive leaders of the campus, local, and global communities. Through its service to the College, the SGA aims to create a positive and rewarding experience for all those who step foot on Mayflower Hill.
Housing services
The ideal residential experience offers onsite resources and built-in community. Each of our 26 residence halls is a microcosm of Colby. Students of various classes are housed together—sharing space and pride of association.
- Living with students gives first-years constant access to advice, information, and support from those who already know their way around.
- Being clustered with other first-years within mixed-year housing means new students get to learn with and lean on others who are just getting started.
