History
As the oldest university of the Turkish Republic, the history and mission of Ankara University has greatly coincided with that of the young state founded by Atatürk. The establishment of the Turkish Republic was much more than just a change in government; it was also a great social transformation based on modern science, contemporary democratic values and institutions.
Education
Ankara University provides education through associate (two-year) degree programs, and undergraduate (bachelor degree) programs through its 15faculties, 2vocational schools,9colleges and a state conservatory. Graduate level education is provided by its13graduate schools.

Great learning experience
I had a positive experience overall. The course content was well-structured and easy to follow, and the instructors explained concepts clearly. I especially liked the practical examples, which helped me understand the material better. However, there is some room for improvement in providing more interactive sessions and quicker feedback on assignments. Overall, it was a valuable and rewarding learning experience.

I am very excited about the university programs, activities and look forward to learning. I hope to gain skills and experience that will help me grow academically and professionally.
Adequate Tuition of Literature
This undergraduate degree has several advantage points, such as living in the country's capital and experiencing a wide spectrum of education regarding the various aspects of English literature, as well as linguistics. However, it's difficult to acquire any help from the university's admission offices, which can be a problem especially for international students. The teachers are generally helpful, however, some of them are professionally inadequate in teaching their subjects, and display poor language skills. It is impossible to acquire help from those who look down on their students, assign very basic and inadequate materials, judge grades baselessly, and only read off slides with poor teaching skills. Some professors, on the other hand, are excellent and continue to improve their practical teaching methods that encourage students to participate in discussions and debates to a variety of subjects, like culture and poetry. Apart from these lectures, which vary from easy to difficult, the campus is very small and the library tends to be packed during exam seasons, although there are materials available to students at a just price range such as notebooks and anything else you might need. When studying here, I would also consider the living costs, as there are both advantages and disadvantages to studying at the university.

International Students Office provides consultancy to all international students from application process to graduation. Office is responsible from all international students from undergraduate to PhD levels including exchange students.

Library services
There are currently approximately 556,000 books present in the libraries of the faculties and vocational schools of the University. There are also 4750 periodicals, 17,000 volumes of handwritten texts, over 30,000 thesis and dissertations available for the use of students.
ICT services
Benefiting from information technologies at the highest possible level is one of Ankara University’s principles. Consequently, there are about 50 Internet servers and more than 8,000 PCs in use at the vocational schools, together with 16 student computer laboratories.
Medical services
If you have a valid health insurance in Turkey, you can use all public hospitals and university hospitals.
Also you can use private hospitals according to your insurance coverage rate. If you do not have a valid health insurance you can use only private hospitals by fee paying.
Campus life
Ankara University offers very active campus life for international students on it’s five big campuses located various districts of Ankara.
Sports facilities
Sports Facilities for students in Ankara University are planned, managed, and organised by Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports.
There are 5 covered Gymnasium and 1 Olympic swimming pool in Ankara University.
In addition, there are open football fields, volleyball courts, basketball fields and tennis courts in each faculty. Ankara University Traditional Sports Festival is organised every year with joining of about 2000 students.
Student clubs
There are about 40 associations on campus. They cater for a wide variety of interests such as music/choirs, art, sports, academic topics etc.
