Established in 1966 on the lands of the Kaurna nation.
Just as our namesake Matthew Flinders famously remarked he was not content to rest unnoticed in the middle order, Flinders as an institution has never been content with the status quo.
Innovative courses will be led by inspirational teachers, supported by advanced learning technologies, to create a learning experience that is flexible, richly interactive and highly personalised.
Our teaching will embed in every degree program research opportunities that nurture the creativity and critical thinking skills that will be determinants of success in an information-rich world.
Our clear focus on student success will distinguish Flinders and empower students to achieve to the very best of their abilities, irrespective of their background or individual circumstances.
Research is a fundamental cornerstone of our mission as a University. Through research, and research-led teaching, we build and develop the knowledge and capabilities that improve lives and enhance society as a whole.
You will gain specialised skills and knowledge in your chosen area while developing portable qualities like independent thinking, communication, collaboration, ethics and creativity – qualities shared by innovators, entrepreneurs, pioneers, creators and trailblazers.
Flinders aims to provide every student with access to a Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunity during their studies through placements, practicums, field studies, and simulated workplace activities.
The Flinders Ignite Mentoring Program will help you in many ways. Peer mentors understand the student world, and are ready to help guide you through every aspect of the transition to university life.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2019. By rating institutions on a scale from 1 to 5, on multiple studies-related questions, we found the top educators in the world.
Learn more about the Global Student Satisfaction AwardsThe International Student Services (ISS) team is part of Flinders International.
