About

The Environmental Health from Flinders University aim to provide you with the professional qualifications to enter or enhance career opportunities in the area of environmental health.

Overview

Please note effective 20 March 9pm AEDT, the Australian Government implemented new travel bans and restrictions whereby only Australian citizens, Permanent Residents, their spouses and dependants could enter the country. For students who would like to study a course that’s offered on campus, we will work with you to enrol you online first and transition you to campus once the travel restrictions change.

Environmental health is the study of how the environment impacts on our health – the physical, biological, chemical and sociological factors external to us that determine our health and wellbeing.

Environmental health is the branch of public health that is concerned with all aspects of the natural and built environment that affect our health, such as water, food, air, buildings and waste.

This pathway program provides you with advanced knowledge in the theory and application of environmental health and environmental health risk assessment.

Career

Graduates of the Environmental Health from Flinders University will be qualified for employment in both the public and private sector, especially local government, state health departments, private environmental consulting firms and mining companies.
