The University of Genoa offers 130 degree courses in 11 fields of study distributed over 9 different cities. Many courses and teaching unites are taught in foreign language, mainly in English.

The University of Genoa offers postgraduate courses and high-quality academic paths at the Institution for Higher Education IANUA-ISSUGE. The University is part of EduOpen, an Italian online platform hosting free university courses (Massive Online Open Courses).

Student services

The University of Genoa offers international students a wide range of welcoming activities.The International Students Office can help you find an accommodation, get the residence permit as well as the Italian fiscal code. The service is free of charge. 

Housing services

The average price for a single room ranges between 300 and 350 € per month, depending on the district and on the level of comfort required (restored apartment, internet, wi-fi, lift, terrace); the average price for a double room is 250-300 € per person per month. The price of an entire flat ranges between 500 and 700 € per month. 

Bed & Breakfasts, residences and religious accommodations can be alternative solutions, especially for short stays.

The University of Genoa supports International students in their accommodation research, but does not guarantee nor reserve any kind of accommodation.

Library services

The University Library System (SBA) manages the library's heritage and offers high-quality services aimed at fostering the knowledge sharing.

Medical services

EU students come to Italy with their European Health Service card issued in their country of residence. If they need to undertake medical examinations, they can address any general practitioner free of charge.

Extra EU students must apply to the National Health Service. Alternatively, International students can subscribe a private health insurance policy with WAI Italy.
