Overview
The graduates of the Engineering for Natural Risk Management programme of the University of Genoa can operate in all areas of safety and civil protection, in both the public and private sectors, at both the national and international levels.
The M.Sc. program takes a multidisciplinary approach, which includes disciplines related especially to natural hazard modeling, information and communication technologies (ICT), and civil engineering, supplemented by elements of legislation and communication strategies for risk management. The classes are fully taught in English.
Learning by doing
The fourth semester is mostly devoted to internships and master thesis in order to facilitate international exchanges and contacts with the labor market. The M.Sc. collaborates with research institutions, companies, and public bodies that offer a wide range of internship opportunities.

- a Bachelor degree (of at least 180 CFU/ECTS)
- a laurea
- at least 180 CFU/ECTS
- You can access this course only if you have obtained a degree or an equivalent qualification (bachelor's degree, a direct school for special purposes - 3 years), if you meet the curricular requirements and if you successfully pass the Prerequisites assessment.
- In order to attend this course the student needs the following admission criteria, without any exclusion:
- Degree (Laurea), M.Sc. (Laurea Magistrale), referred to D.M. 509/1999 or D.M. 270/2004, awarded by an Italian university or a five-year degree
- an English certificate of B2 level
