  • The Institute for Applied Research  is the institutional umbrella for research institutions at the University of Applied Sciences Pforzheim and forms the starting point for research activities.
  • In Baden-Wuerttemberg, research activities at (technical) universities were grouped together in so-called Institutes for Applied Research (IAF). This is not an institute in the strict sense. Rather, the IAF is an organizational unit for coordinating and optimizing existing research and development (R & D) activities. The IAF in Baden-Württemberg is coordinated by the Service Center for Research and Transfer at the office of the HAW BW eV in Stuttgart.
