About

The purpose of the MSISEE programme is to provide state-of-the-art education in the fields of conventional and renewable energy sources and new power generation. These areas include: energy systems modelling, heat and power engineering, solar, wind and hydro power engineering. Innovative and entrepreneurial aspects will be highlighted via the advanced renewable energy concepts that are being implemented in the Nordic countries. 

Students will gain proficiency in project design and implementation, operation and maintenance, policy making and systems analysis. Advanced training with a research-oriented perspective is also included.

The master's programme in Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology is a combination of conventional teaching, project work and an independent research thesis project.

The MSISEE Programme equips the students with the necessary theoretical and practical experience for better professional development in the field of energy systems engineering. The students will learn different software tools, which will help them to apply their knowledge in a more modern way. The graduate students of the programme could contribute positively to technological, economic and social development by providing more sustainable solutions to society.

Careers

The energy field is an international and dynamic area where well-trained engineers are in constant demand, particularly for engineers exposed to practices in the Nordic countries. Employment opportunities are very strong.

Academic Requirements

Students are welcome to apply even if they are not fulfilling the prerequisites at the time of your application, but plan to take spring courses at their home universities which address the lacking prerequisites. They should be able to at least show documentation that they are registered for these course.
