
Overview
With your one-year Master in Business Economics (60 ECTS credits), you:
- learn to analyse business economic issues in a methodologically rigorous and effective way,
- develop an ethical reflection on the position of the manager in society,
- and focus on your areas of interest by choosing a major and minor in Accounting, Data Science, Digital Organisation, Finance, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, International Business, Marketing or Strategy and Organisation.
This year, the Master in Business Economics was ranked 90th in the Financial Times Master in Management ranking and obtained sixth place in terms of 'value for money'.
Double degree
The Master in Business Economics also offers a unique double degree programme, together with Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (ULB). This gives you the opportunity to study at two top schools in Belgium and obtain two Master's degrees in two years' time.

Ample job opportunities are available in the consultancy, audit and assurance, banking and insurance sectors, as well as in industrial and commercial corporations.

General requirements
If you have obtained a diploma outside of Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg, you should submit an application for screening through Mobility Online.
You will need to provide the following information:
- Academic degree: you must hold an academic bachelor degree (at least 180 ECTS). If you are in your final bachelor year, you are also encouraged to apply.
- Academic background: The admission board will evaluate whether you have a good working knowledge and understanding of Research methodology, Mathematics, Macro- and Micro-economics, Financial and Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Marketing and Management. In some cases, a preparatory programme may be required.

GMAT or GRE
Unless exempted, your application should include:
- an overall GMAT score of 600 or higher, or
- a GRE with a minimum score of 157 on quantitative and verbal reasoning.
If you have obtained your (business) economics degree at one of the following institutions, you are exempted from submitting a GMAT /GRE:
- A Belgian university;
- A university ranked in the global top 400 in the most recent edition of THE or QS World Ranking;
- One of FBE's exchange partners;
- A university with an AACSB, EFMD or EQUIS accreditation

Living costs for Antwerpen
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Funding
As a master student in the programme of Business Economics, you can apply for a 'Tuition fee scholarship' which will reduce the tuition fee for 2020-2021 to 3100 euro for 60 credits (400 euro + 45 euro/credit).
