Operations are a core aspect of any business. This Technology and Operations Management programme at University of Groningen offers insights from real operational processes and socio-technical systems in areas like logistics, manufacturing, services, energy, healthcare, and governance.

You will learn to identify opportunities, analyse, and diagnose operations-related problems, but also to design, develop, and evaluate solutions.

Job prospects

You will be prepared for a career as an operations manager or data analyst in a production, distribution or service environment. You may also pursue a career as a consultant or project manager in the field of process improvement, innovation and technology of products and processes.

It is possible to work in the industry, the public sector, or in the health sector. Alternatively, you may opt for an academic career and start a career in research at a university (see also the Research Master programme).

A GMAT/GRE test is required from all candidates who obtained their bachelor's degree from a university in a non-EU/EEA country.

Both GMAT and GRE are now being offered by mba.com and ETS as an online option to take from home worldwide.

IELTS Academic overall score 6.5 (Speaking 6, Writing 6.5); TOEFL internet-based overall score 90 (Speaking 20, Writing 24); C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency (with minimum score 180).

To be eligible for admission to this Master, you need to hold an academic Bachelor's or Master's degree from a research university in one of the following - or closely related - fields: Business Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics and Operations Research, Economics and Business Economics, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Technology Management.
