This one-year Master’s programme in Journalism from Södertörn University provides a global perspective on journalism, investigating the role of journalism in different media systems and socio-cultural contexts, giving you the knowledge and skills necessary for work in an international setting. You will also examine changes to the global media and their implications for professional journalism.

What you'll study

You will investigate the professional role of the journalist, ethical issues and problems of media freedom and democracy, while reflecting on and problematising journalism and power. This programme not only provides knowledge and skills that are vital when working in an international setting, it also provides the necessary formal qualification for admission to doctoral studies.
