Overview
The Master of Environmental Sciences from The University of Tokyo steps further and deeper, allowing students to choose their area of specialization from a wide range of relevant fields including natural and agricultural sciences, industrial technologies, and social sciences including economics, politics and other related disciplines. There is no pre-set minimum standard for each item (TOEFL and GRE). However, faculty members are well aware of standards and evaluation procedures of the top schools in the US and UK and UTIPE admission procedure will be comparable to top graduate schools in economics in the United States and United Kingdom.

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Funding
GPES has been selected by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as an International Student Priority Placement Special Program. This award brings direct access to special MEXT Scholarships to new GPES applicants. 5 fully funded Masters Course scholarships and 3 fully funded PhD Course scholarships are now available annually to International Students wishing to study on the GPES program. The scholarship includes all University fees, a monthly stipend and return airfare from the students home country for the full period of study.
