The Social Theory and Space programme offered by Swansea University will be shaped by participation in research activities such as seminars and reading groups, as well as your involvement in one of our established Human Geography research groups.

Key Facts

The Department of Geography provides a supportive and friendly environment for our thriving community of research students from all over the world, and you will work closely with and be supported by the Department's academic staff. One of our Human Geography academic staff members will be your primary supervisory, and they will guide you through your studies. You will also have a second supervisor from either Human Geography or an appropriate cognate discipline, depending on the nature of your project.
