Overview

The Master of Library and Information Science program from The University of Jordan (UJ) is an educational, training and research program that aims to provide advanced knowledge and skills in the field to contribute to providing human resources at a high level of knowledge and applied skills in the fields of information science such as organizing information and its sources and managing information resources and services systems, in addition to the knowledge necessary to employ information and communication technology to provide information and knowledge services at an advanced level to serve the changing needs of information users in Jordan and the entire Arab world.

• Preparing specialists with a high level of knowledge and skill to work in the field of libraries and information.

• Providing students with the necessary skills and competencies to manage information institutions of all kinds.         
• Providing learners with the necessary skills to technically process information sources in the electronic environment.

• Providing students with advanced information technology applications in information institutions.
• Providing learners with the necessary skills and information to provide information services in the digital environment.
• Increasing the awareness of learners about the current trends and developments in library and information science.
• Providing students with research skills, methods, and methods in library and information science.
