Goals

This Food Security program from University Putra Malaysia aims to produce highly knowledgeable professionals in the field of food security and serve as a foundation for advancing the national agenda. It will also act as a feeder program to prepare candidates for PhD studies. The program is developed through a collaborative effort involving five (5) universities in ASEAN under the University Consortium (UC), including UPM. This reflects recognition of UPM’s postgraduate programs and expertise in the field.

Bachelor's degree in any related field of Science with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 / 60% / Lower Second Class; or,
Bachelor's Degree in any related field of Science with a minimum CGPA of 2.500 / 55% / Lower Second Class and a minimum of three (3) years of working experience in any relevant field; or,
Bachelor's degree in the field of Science but not achieving CGPA 2.500 / 55% / Lower Second Class subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in any relevant field; or,

A qualification equivalent to a Bachelor's degree recognized by MQA / professional body or Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (JPA)
All international students from countries where English is not the intermediate language must obtain a minimum score of 550 for the TOEFL or a level of 6.0 for the IELTS.
