General requirements
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 1 (2:1) in a related branch of Engineering such as Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- Applications from graduates with a primary degree in a related science background (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Material Science) at first-class honours level or with prior work experience in the field of chemical and biochemical engineering are welcome.
- Applicants must also show evidence of proficiency in mathematics (particularly in linear algebra and differential and integral calculus), chemistry, chemical thermodynamics, physical chemistry, reaction kinetics, and have experimental skills working in a science and engineering lab
- The university may shortlist and invite you to an interview.
